University of Colorado Boulder – Professional Lighting Education

Join the CU Boulder Architectural Lighting Certificate program this fall! Grow your understanding and proficiency in lighting during the two-semester online course sequence that begins in September and ends in April. Then complete your certificate through a summer capstone course, including a week of hands-on practical experience with lighting measurements, equipment, and software tools during an on-campus intensive in Boulder. Further details and the no-cost application can be found here.

Architectural Lighting Certificate students may also apply for a limited number of Student Financial Awards that are funded by industry partners and supporting individuals. The awards of $1500 per course are intended to broaden the voices that inform our industry’s future, with preference given to applicants with unique learning, career, and life experiences for whom the costs of the program would be burdensome.
