Sacramento, Calif. March 13, 2025—mwConnect, a leading innovator in Bluetooth® mesh technology, is pleased to announce the election of Stephen Zhou, Executive Vice President, to the DALI Alliance Board of Directors. The election was held during the General Assembly on February 24, 2025.
The DALI Alliance (also known as the Digital Illumination Interface Alliance, or DiiA) is the global industry organization for DALI lighting control. It is an open, global consortium of lighting companies focused on expanding the marketplace for lighting-control solutions based on the standardized Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) protocol.
Stephen Zhou has been with mwConnect for more than 20 years. He is responsible for overseeing the company’s digital illumination products development and managing its subsidiaries across Asia. He leads a cross-functional R&D team that has developed cutting-edge wireless lighting control and IoT products, earning prestigious industry accolades, including the IES Progress Report, Sapphire Award, Brightstar Award, LightfairTechnical Innovation Award, and the DOE L-Prize. Stephen has deep technical expertise in lighting components such as LED drivers, power supplies, and advanced controls, including sensor technologies and wireless network platforms like Bluetooth Mesh, Zigbee, and Thread. He is actively engaged in various lighting industry groups, including the Illuminating Engineering Society, the Lighting Controls Association, the ZhagaConsortium, and the DALI Alliance.
