CARSON, Calif., March 18, 2024 – DMF Lighting, a leading architectural lighting manufacturer of premium modular LED downlighting systems, continues to expand its modular recessed downlighting collections, offering the design community a complete lighting package to meet all project site requirements. Experts in the field of modular design, DMF’s products feature tool-less, field-interchangeable modules (light engines), optics and trims, allowing for easy serviceability, design changes and aiming flexibility to meet specific application needs.
Known as engineering experts and problem-solvers, the modular design (housing, module and trim) features drivers integrated into the light engine modules versus the housing, so modules, equipped with quick connects, can be easily swapped out with below ceiling access. The modularity also allows the flexibility when aiming a project or any space redesigns as they can be easily swapped onsite from fixed to adjustable to wall wash.
“We continue to listen to the design community and introduce exciting new products to meet all application needs,” said Ken Czech, vice president of new product development, DMF Lighting. “We will be showcasing our X Series small aperture family of 2-inch downlights and 3-inch cylinders; and the 4-inch M Series Commercial downlighting collection and complementary M Series Cylinders.”
The small aperture X Series downlights offers a uniquely small footprint without sacrificing light output (500 to 1500 lumens). New additions include Cross Beam Optics, a 500-lumen Ultra-Narrow module, Pinhole and Hyperbolic trims and extension collars for thicker ceilings.
The X Series housings feature a unique trap door that provides post-install access to the splice box below the ceiling plane. This, along with integrated drivers, allows for painless serviceability, unheard of in a 2-inch fixture. A true breakthrough for error-free installation, the downlights are shipped with a patent-pending Precision Lock Collar that eliminates over-cutting and drywall repair, making flush-to-ceiling installation easy to achieve.
To compliment the downlights, the X Series also includes a family of cylinders offered in pendant, surface-mount and ADA compliant wall-mount configurations. Cylinder and downlight/adjustable product families utilize the same modules so light quality, color and output remains consistent for a cohesive look — both indoors and outdoors.
Named as a Top 10 MUST SEE product at LEDucation by the Edison Report, the 4-inch aperture M Series Commercial recessed downlighting family meets all site requirements for a wide variety of applications with lumen packages ranging from 750 to 3500, while providing continuity in aesthetics and performance throughout varying ceiling heights.
The M Series Cylinders, which utilize the same modules as the M Series Commercial downlights for consistency in aesthetics and performance, will also be on display at the tradeshow. The cylinders provide an unmatched level of flexibility and customization with a choice of over a million configurations.
Both modular downlighting collections are offered in round and square apertures with fixed Downlight and Adjustable modules and a wide variety of optical distributions and color temperatures including Warm Dim and Tunable White.
The modularity of the DMF’s downlights allows the housings and the light modules to ship separately so the housings can be installed before the lighting design is finalized, reducing on-site storage requirements while maintain tight project deadlines.
All DMF Lighting’s luminaires feature a sustainable design and are ENERGY STAR® compliant and Declare Listed for Living Building Challenge and LEED projects.
The families will be on display at LEDucation 2024 at the New York Hilton Midtown in New York City on March 19 and 20 at booths 613 and 615 (Grand Ballroom, 3rd floor). To learn more, visit www.dmflighting.com.
