The Momentum Index, issued by Dodge Construction Network, is a monthly measure of the initial report for nonresidential building projects in planning, which have been shown to lead construction spending for nonresidential buildings by a full year.

Building owners and managers have a number of options to address acoustic comfort, from vinyl or cork flooring to noise-reducing shades or soundproof blinds to sound-absorbing panels. Lighting manufacturers developed their own solution: acoustic luminaires.

LD+A recently published an Illuminating Engineering Society survey about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the lighting industry. The survey was conducted among the IES membership with 1,083 responses from across the industry.

Due to the uncertainty of restrictions regarding mass gatherings in August, as well as restrictions impeding international travel, the LEDucation committee has canceled the in-person trade show in New York City scheduled for August 17-18, 2021. However, the committee announced LEDucation will offer a series of accredited virtual conference sessions in August 2021.
