Google has introduced a new way to create and engage with immersive artworks. The solution uses a digital brush and connected HTC Vive headset. The user can then paint strokes in air to create just about anything.

For the 2016 Spiral Independent Creators Festival, Akinori Goto created a wire wheel that creates dancing figures when illuminated. The project won Runner-up Grand Prix and the Audience Award.

Check out this engaging and immersive light and sound installation that occurred inside a plane: “Porta Estallar” by PlayMID (Playmodes and MID). The plane itself was installed at Barcelona’s Ciutadella Park as part of an art project to host installations like this. The sequencing suggests interstellar travel, a very cool experience.

(may not be suitable for all audiences) Parisian photographer Dani Olivier wanted to do nude portraits that haven’t been done before. He had an idea: use the body as canvas for light projections. The results are quite beautiful. Check it out here.
