Endeavor Business Media and the Strategies in Light event team recently announced that the 2021 in-person event will not take place due to the unavailability of the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA and continuing restrictions on international travel. The event will be shifted to an online format to be held August 24-25, 2021.

Due to the uncertainty of restrictions regarding mass gatherings in August, as well as restrictions impeding international travel, the LEDucation committee has canceled the in-person trade show in New York City scheduled for August 17-18, 2021. However, the committee announced LEDucation will offer a series of accredited virtual conference sessions in August 2021.

The Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Board of Directors recently announced that its 2021 IES Annual Conference, originally scheduled for August 5-7 in New Orleans, will not take place in-person, and instead will be hosted in a virtual setting.

Clarion Events, owner of Revo, the organizer of LuxLive, the Lux Awards, and Lighting Design Awards, has announced that all its events are postponed indefinitely.

The International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) recently announced it is rescheduling the Enlighten Americas 2021 conference to November 2-4, 2023, in the same scenic mountain destination of Banff, AB Canada. IALD’s decision comes as a result of the continued uncertainty in Canada around the pandemic, including Canadian travel restrictions and the country’s rules about in-person events.

LIGHTFAIR recently announced its 2022 dates: the trade show is June 21-23, 2022 and conference is June 19-23, 2022 at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) in Las Vegas, NV.

Registration is now open for the virtual version of LEDucation 2021, a lighting conference and marketplace taking place March 16-17, 2021. The in-person event was rescheduled to August 17-18, 2021 and will be held at the New York Hilton Midtown.

The Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City has confirmed its commitment to stage the October LIGHTFAIR 2021 trade show and conference after the announcement by New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo that the facility will be used as a COVID-19 vaccination center.
