Will LIGHTFAIR be Held Online in 2020?
The LIGHTFAIR conference and trade show recently postponed and then canceled its 2020 event in Las Vegas due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The conference organizers appear to be preparing to take the 2020 event online as a digital conference. This would be a welcome development.
LIGHTFAIR Canceled
The May 3-7, 2020 LIGHTFAIR trade show and conference, previously announced as postponed, is now canceled, as announced today by the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD), the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and International Market Centers (IMC).
USGBC Cancels Regional Greenbuild Events, Intends to Go Ahead with International Conference in November
The U.S. Green Building Council has canceled its regional and local events–including the regional Greenbuild events in Europe, China and Mexico set to take place between March and June of this year–but intends to go ahead with the Greenbuild International Conference & Expo in November.

LIGHTFAIR today announced postponement of its 2020 trade show and conference due to growing concerns around COVID-19. The May 3-7, 2020 event will now take place later this year in Las Vegas, pending improved conditions, possibly late summer or early fall.
