Robert Karlicek, Jr., director of the Lighting Enabled Systems and Applications (LESA) Center, will present a live webcast for LEDs Magazine on June 18, 2020 at 1PM EDT on the topic, “Germicidal UV-C radiation: Fact and Fiction about Killing Pathogens.”

The International WELL Building Institute today announced that the 2020 WELL Conference, originally postponed from March to August 16-19 in Scottsdale, AZ, has been canceled.

LIGHTFAIR will present selected courses from its 2020 Conference program online as “LIGHTFAIR Connect” July 21-23, 2020. The virtual conference will feature more than 60 hours of accredited courses and more than 50 sessions presented in seven educational tracks. LIGHTFAIR Connect is inspired by demand for online learning that was expressed by the lighting community in the wake of the cancellation of the 2020 Conference due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Messe Frankfurt has announced that the two concurrent fairs in its Light + Building portfolio, Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE), and Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) have been postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Both fairs were originally due to take place June 9-12 and will now be held at a future date which will be announced soon. They will remain at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. 

Messe Frankfurt has canceled Light + Building 2020 after previously postponing it. The next Light + Building event will occur as normally scheduled March 13-18, 2022 in Frankfurt am Main.

Today, the Designers Lighting Forum of New York and the LEDucation committee announced the LEDucation 2020 Trade Show and Conference, previously rescheduled for August 18–19, 2020, will not take place due to the ongoing impacts of COVID-19.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) will not be rescheduling the AIA Conference on Architecture 2020.

From now through April 30, Greenbuild is making its 2019 conference sessions available digitally, with a discount that expires April 17.

The Dallas Market Center recently announced that the June 24-27 edition of the Lightovation show has been canceled amid continuing Coronavirus concerns.
