A Look At LEDucation 2025 Success

The 2025 LEDucation Trade Show and Conference, organized by the Designers Lighting Forum of New York (DLFNY), concluded its 2025 event on March 18–19 at the New York Hilton Midtown. As North America’s largest annual lighting industry gathering, LEDucation showcased the latest in lighting technology and provided a platform for industry professionals to connect and learn.

The 2025 event featured 475 exhibitors across four exhibit halls, demonstrating a wide array of LED products and technologies. The show offered a comprehensive experience with enhanced networking areas and educational sessions.

Education was a key focus of LEDucation 2025, with 29 in-person educational sessions and 13 virtual presentations. The virtual sessions attracted over 3,000 attendees, covering a wide range of topics. In-person sessions were well-attended, requiring room size adjustments to accommodate demand. The Presentations Committee highlighted the inclusion of young designers showcasing innovative concepts and expertise.

The conference featured 45 AIA CES approved educational sessions, addressing pressing topics in the lighting industry. These sessions provided attendees with valuable insights into emerging trends, sustainability, and cutting-edge lighting technologies.

A notable improvement to the 2025 event was the revised lunch plan, featuring two DLFNY Cafes offering convenient grab-and-go options from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on both show days. This initiative minimized congestion and improved navigation throughout the exhibit halls during peak hours. Other show improvements included moving 2nd-floor hallway booths/tables up to the 3rd-floor hallway away from the 2nd-floor registration area, reducing congestion at the registration kiosks. Also, an additional exhibit hall reduced the overcrowding of some previous years.

LEDucation 2025 further increased its reputation as the premier lighting event in North America, attracting approximately 10,000 attendees. The event provided a dynamic environment for business, education, and networking, solidifying its status as a must-attend industry gathering. Looking ahead, LEDucation 2026 is scheduled for April 14–15, 2026.
