Turn Your High Schooler Into A Lighting Person!

PSU Camp Candle

Sure, you’re a hardcore lighting person, but what about the teenagers in your life? Camp CANDLE is an architectural lighting design summer camp for high school students. It’s located at Penn State University, with one of the top lighting / architectural engineering programs in North America. The goal of Camp CANDLE is to increase awareness of the lighting profession and find the next generation of talent for the lighting industry.

Camp CANDLE is a week-long overnight summer camp held July 8-12, 2024, for high school students at least 15 years of age.  Registration is now open, the cost is $950, and financial assistance is available upon request.

The camp schedule includes hands-on exploration of the artistic and technical aspects of architectural lighting & electrical design.  Students will learn from experts how lighting can enhance the built environment, improve our well-being, and contribute to a sustainable future.

For more information, please visit the Camp CANDLE website or contact the camp director at JJM565@psu.edu. Register here.
