Lighting Education Tour

IES is curating a unique five-city educational tour experience, featuring expert-led sessions on color and vision fundamentals and current research pertaining to the impact of light on human physiology and behavior. IES24: The Lighting Conference

Held in New York City, the conference addresses everything from research to design to technology and more—a state of the industry event. 2024 IES Illumination Awards Gala

August 16, 6:00pm – 10:30pm EDT

Held during the IES24 Lighting Conference in New York City, the IES Illumination Awards recognizes individuals for professionalism, ingenuity and originality in lighting design based on the individual merit of each entry. Judges are selected from a broad professional spectrum representing knowledge of lighting and design excellence. Gala tickets are available as part of IES24 registration or à la carte.

Street & Area Lighting Conference

September 22-25

Held this year in Atlanta, GA, the IES Street and Area Lighting Conference has a primary focus of improving outdoor lighting. The conference program provides outdoor lighting training classes, seminars, networking sessions and an exhibit hall. Registration is open here.

David Shiller is the Publisher of LightNOW, and President of Lighting Solution Development, a North American consulting firm providing business development services to advanced lighting manufacturers. The ALA awarded David the Pillar of the Industry Award. David has co-chaired ALA’s Engineering Committee since 2010. David established MaxLite’s OEM component sales into a multi-million dollar division. He invented GU24 lamps while leading ENERGY STAR lighting programs for the US EPA. David has been published in leading lighting publications, including LD+A, enLIGHTenment Magazine, LEDs Magazine, and more.
