A different kind of lighting show has been quietly growing. Lightapalooza will be holding its 3^rd annual conference & trade show, February 26-29, 2024, at the Renaissance Phoenix Glendale Hotel & Spa, in Glendale, AZ. The event is organized by the Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA), a national association of specialty retailers and custom integrators who design and install high performance technology systems.

The first year of Lightapalooza (2022) had 200 integrators, reps, and manufacturers in attendance. The 2023 event had almost 750 attendees, 30 hours of educational sessions, and double the number of exhibitors from the year before. The next Lightapalooza 2024 will offer 103 hours of educational sessions, 64 total sessions with 38 sessions included with registration. 2024 will also have almost 50 exhibitors in 12,000 square feet of exhibit space. David Shiller is the Publisher of LightNOW, and President of Lighting Solution Development, a North American consulting firm providing business development services to advanced lighting manufacturers. The ALA awarded David the Pillar of the Industry Award. David has co-chaired ALA’s Engineering Committee since 2010. David established MaxLite’s OEM component sales into a multi-million dollar division. He invented GU24 lamps while leading ENERGY STAR lighting programs for the US EPA. David has been published in leading lighting publications, including LD+A, enLIGHTenment Magazine, LEDs Magazine, and more.
