MetroSpec Technology has won a BrightStar Award from LEDs Magazine for its spot light module, FlexRad BoardOnCoil Minnie. It’s innovative thermal management consists of direct bonding of a copper coil and easy air flow through the center of the assembly.
The FlexRad BOC Minnie can be used for pendant downlights, spot lights, sconces, acrylic rod lighting, and a wide variety of single-sided and double-sided directional fixtures. It is less than 40 mm in diameter and under 20 mm in depth (including optic and heat sink), up to 8 watts, and capable of over 160 lumens per watt. The module is entirely self-cooled, requiring no separate heat sink. With an optic, light can be focused to as little as a 9 degree beam angle.
