Product Monday: Airelight LED Ceramic Luminaires

Linear ES, Square & Linear SC luminaires from Golden Eye

The most interesting technology that I saw at LEDucation, last week, was the Airelight LED ceramic luminaires from GoldenEye Lighting. They’re a California-based manufacturer with a novel light source platform. Their luminaires reflect white LEDs within a ¼”-thick aluminum channel that serves as a diffusing chamber. The light emits through a diffuser that is alumina, an aluminum oxide ceramic. This ceramic diffuser provides significant thermal management to the luminaire, as well as a soft glow, without any pixelation, and no plastic/polymer diffuser. As a result, Airelight luminaires contain no plastics, and the luminaires have achieved Declare! Red List Free Certification. According to GoldenEye Lighting, they have the first Red List Free Certified lighting in the industry.
