Lumentruss Reclaimed Wood Luminaires

Close up photo of Lumentruss sustainable wood lighting fixture

An interesting find at LEDucation, last week was a line of linear luminaires from Lumentruss made from reclaimed pine engineered lumber. It has the appearance of shredded recycled lumber that has been pressed into new lumber. The finished look has an intense grain pattern that is even more pronounced than ‘virgin’ wood. Recycled wood both reduces wood waste and avoids cutting down trees.

The Lumentruss wood series offers five attractive profiles of suspended LED linear pendant lighting fixtures. These wood pendant fixtures come in custom lengths from one to twelve feet in length. A broad range of lenses and LED color temperatures, and lumen packages are available. Certain wood profiles are offered in both up and down light for additional versatility. A sanded-down version is available making it possible to apply a customer’s own stain or varnish to match other wood accents in a space. These are fun, ecological lighting fixtures made of sustainable wood. Even better, for every solid wood profile sold, Lumentruss will plant a tree.
