Product Monday: Kenall Releases Stainless Steel Indoor Swimming Pool Luminaire

Indoor swimming pools, also known as natatoriums, are a very demanding and corrosive environment for lighting. Natatorium luminaires are exposed to high humidity, chlorine, salt, and other chemicals. Kenall drew on its expertise in the tunnel lighting market to design its new EnviroPro IN9 Natatorium luminaire. The new luminaire has an Ingress Protection rating of IP65, and the housing can be made from aluminum, 304 stainless steel, or 316 stainless steel.

“We saw a need for a stainless steel natatorium luminaire that could resist both galvanic and chemical corrosion. The EnviroPro IN9 series provides this durability in a sleek design with three housing options. Field adjustability and multiple optical distribution options help minimize glare while directing the light exactly where it’s needed,” commented Lynn Walldorf, Kenall product marketing manager.

Kenall warranties the EnviroPro IN9 housings for 5, 10, or 15 years, depending on the housing material selected. The luminaires also comply with the Buy American Act (BAA), so there are no expensive delays waiting for lighting to arrive from an overseas supplier.
