IES Announces 2021 IES Illumination Award Recipients

The 2021 IES Illumination Awards were presented on August 9, 2021 at the Illuminating Engineering Society’s 2021 Virtual Annual Conference. Projects in Boston, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York City, Ukraine, Canada, and China were recognized. These awards recognize professionalism, ingenuity, and originality in lighting design.

A total of 7 projects received highest honors, while 271 were recognized with Awards of Merit. The Illumination Award for Interior Lighting Design sponsored by Edwin F. Guth, the Illumination Award for Outdoor Lighting Design sponsored by Cooper Lighting Solutions, the Energy and Environmental Lighting Design Award and the Control Innovation Award sponsored by the Lighting Controls Association are parallel programs created to recognize outstanding lighting design.
