BriteSwitch recently published a summary of 2019 rebate trends.
The utility rebate fulfillment provider found that average available rebate amounts per product is increasing, though a lapse in several big programs resulted in shrinkage in geographical coverage in the USA. Networked lighting controls rebates, implemented with a mishmash of experimental approaches, appear to be standardizing around a per-luminaire rebate, with both the luminaire and control system required to be on the appropriate DLC Qualified Products Lists. And midstream rebates–where the rebate is implemented through distributors–are still in the minority due to their associated hassle.
