Hosted by Mark Lien, the Illuminating Engineering Society’s Forces of Change podcast recently invited the Lighting Research Center’s Dr. Nadarajah Narendran to talk about developments in 3D printed lighting and what this may mean for the industry.
Calling digital fabrication the “third digital revolution” (after communication and computation), Narendran points out the possibility of producing light sources, heat sinks, optics, and luminaires almost anywhere using 3D printing, which could revolutionize lighting manufacturing and distribution.
