Alumen8’s GLASS HOUSE Series of LED (or T5HO) direct pendants is characterized by a rigid, low-scale architectural, linear box-like design. A classical low-glare direct luminaire, its wide light distribution comes from a three-sided 270-degree lens shape. Downlight shielding choices are a clear- or opal-acrylic lens that create a soft illumination from below, maintaining very high light output while obfuscating the lamp image. A clear lens yields high 79% lighting efficiency with T5HO lamping. Units are available as surface mounted or suspended versions, using two 4-ft. 1mm-thick stainless-steel aircraft cables with locking micro-grippers for ease of altering suspension length. Available in 4 ft. or 8 ft. individual fixtures, or 12 ft., 16 ft., 20 ft. or 24 ft. joined rows. For rows, factory includes special through-wire endcaps and quick-connect harnesses per joint.
LED units are produced with high-performance Nichia LEDs rated at 50,000 hours. Choose 3500K, 4000K or 5000K color temperatures. Lumen outputs at the circuit board offer two choices: standard output of approximately 500 lumens/foot, equaling a mere 7W/foot, and high output of approximately 1,000 lumens/foot, equaling 14W/foot. The LED boards, built in foot-long increments, are replaceable. The LED Driver is a 12V DC system using constant voltage from 120V to 277V. It offers extreme low-temperature performance to -40°C with a 90°C case rating, is UL/cUL listed Class 2.0 to 10V dimming-module option is available. A precision-formed reflector design, unique light-spreading diffusers, and optimal diode spacing minimize the typical pixelized appearance of LEDs while maximizing even light distribution. The LED drivers and lamps each have 5-year warranties.
