On December 8, 2011, ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING magazine celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a special PechaKucha event. Held at Jack’s Studios in NYC, this event brought together a cross section of the lighting industry, including leading designers, manufacturers, researchers, educators and students, to celebrate innovations in lighting design and emerging lighting technologies.

You may recall that I served as the magazine’s editor and subsequently its publisher from 1995 to 2001, celebrating the 10- and 15-year anniversaries. Today, ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING continues strong under the editorial leadership of Elizabeth Donoff.
I’m very pleased to announce that Elizabeth recently invited me to return to ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING as a contributor on technology and code topics. In the first several issues of 2012, I will be covering light and color, regulations impacting availability of incandescent reflector lamps, and ASHRAE/IES 90.1-2010, the new national energy standard.
