Acuity Brands Receives Expanded NVLAP Accreditations

Acuity Brands, Inc. recently announced that it has received expanded accreditation from the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) for testing of LED products for conformance to the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America LM-79 standard.

NVLAP is administered by the National Institute of Science and Technology (“NIST”) and evaluates the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. NVLAP’s accreditation programs are established in response to Congressional mandates, administrative actions by the Federal Government, and requests from private-sector organizations and government agencies.
