The Department of Energy has published the summary report from the 2011 DOE Solid-State Lighting (SSL) R&D Workshop, held February 1–3 in San Diego, California. A PDF copy of the report may be downloaded here.
Three hundred and fifty participants joined DOE to share perspectives on “Transformations in Lighting,” including representatives from industry, academia, research institutions, and government, according to Jim Brodrick, SSL program manager. The eighth annual workshop provided a forum for building partnerships and sharing insights on today’s products and tomorrow’s lighting systems—exploring barriers and opportunities that affect the speed of market adoption.
