Metrolight Relocates to California

Metrolight, a manufacturer of electronic HID products, has announced the relocation of its headquarters to Dana Point, California. The company’s operations center will remain in Brentwood,TN. The move to California is a tactical one as 30% of the country’s energy consumption is attributed to this state. In addition, California offers one of the largest utility rebates specifically for HID technology, Metrolight’s specialty.

Metrolight has experienced a significant upturn in the retail sector, winning several multi-million retail projects incorporating digital control and monitoring systems. This has been the result of a deliberate strategy aimed at penetrating the retail sector by focusing on developing new partnerships with the nation’s largest ESCO companies and leveraging the solution’s control capabilities to further reduce energy costs.

The U.S. team is expanding in response to growing demand for the company’s products. Wayne Letwink has joined Metrolight as National OEM Business Manager and will be based on the East Coast. Letwink will concentrate on the specifications market, a key market in driving product development and new utility rebate acceptance across the U.S.
