WAC Lighting, a manufacturer of track, recessed, undercabinet, monorail and decorative lighting, recently received two Best of the Best Awards from TED Magazine and the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED). One award was for Brand Awareness and the other award was presented for Merchandising.
The Brand Awareness Best of the Best Award was presented to WAC Lighting for its Responsible Lighting campaign that consisted of several elements, including:
o Responsible Citizenship demonstrated by the company’s practice of Giving Back, which includes donating lighting fixtures to charities and raising money for victims of natural disasters.
o Responsible Production has been demonstrated in the company’s clean, family owned manufacturing campus with in-house UL Labs and zero landfill status.
o “Responsible Lighting Defined” Ad campaign, which showcased Responsible technology that is used in energy efficient LED and CFL lighting.
This comprehensive approach to Responsibility has helped electrical and lighting distributors to recognize WAC as a leading provider of Responsible Lighting. In addition, this brand standard has enabled WAC Lighting President Shelley Wang to receive the American Lighting Association’s Industry Leadership Award, within nine months of launching the campaign.
WAC Lighting also won the Best of the Best Award for Merchandising with its point of purchase display boards that are widely used by electrical and lighting distributors. In addition to the boards, the firm offers countertop and other types of in-store merchandisers that feature product demonstrations and product literature.
