AmerillumBrands has announced that they have moved into a new two-story architect-designed building in San Diego County, California, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
The new building is in the city of Oceanside, and is situated on three acres of land with a direct ocean view. The two-story, 54,000+ sq.ft. building comprises a modern, airy manufacturing plant, administrative and factory-direct customer-service offices, and warehousing, as well as conference and showroom facilities to provide AIA presentations.
Kenneth D. Smith Associates, Architects, designed the building and its interiors. Amerillum divisions a•light and Alumen8 supplied all of the interior and exterior lighting. The interior lighting plan by Rosemarie Allaire, IALD achieved a lighting power density of a remarkably low 0.62 watts per sq ft. Use of T5HO linear fluorescent luminaires, in combination with precise luminaire placement and fixture types, achieved an exceptionally energy-efficient 56% less required lighting power density, as designated by California Title 24.
