LIGHTFAIR International has announced a call for speakers to submit proposals for the 2011 conference in its new location at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia on May 15-19, 2011.
Industry experts are invited to submit lighting-related topics from novice to advanced, including (but not limited to) applications, software, control systems, product updates, building integration, BIM, retrofitting, design innovations, daylighting, sustainable and environmental design, case studies, lighting fundamentals and professional development.
Expanding on its Daylighting Institute and LIGHTFAIR Institute workshops and conference courses, the LFI educational program will now offer a new category within its seminar tracks, Retrofit and Update, which concentrates on technologies and strategies for lighting interventions in buildings or projects that already exist. Presentations will explore the challenges and advantages of integrating new lighting fixtures, controls and infrastructure into existing buildings to improve the visual environment, energy conservation and efficiencies.
All submissions must be made via the official LIGHTFAIR website here.
Submissions will be accepted online only until September 13, 2010.
