Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s Lighting Research Center has announced the LED Lighting Institute, a three-day hands-on seminar where participants learn the basics of LED technology and build an understanding of LED system integration issues involving electrical, optical, and thermal characteristics of LEDs.
The LED Lighting Institute will take place September 21-23, 2010 at the Lighting Research Center at 21 Union Street in Troy, NY.
Specifically, participants will learn how to measure and evaluate LEDs and LED systems, and compare LED technologies from a variety of manufacturers. They will design, build and evaluate their own LED fixtures. Attendees receive 3 CEUs and a continuing education certificate in LED Lighting.
If you register by August 15, 2010, the course fee is $1,900. The fee for registration after August 15, 2010 is $2,100.
