In response to growing conversation around architecture’s role in achieving project business goals and an economy that demands it, aReturnOnDesign.com has launched. The website will play host to a community interested in how architecture and design can and should contribute to the effectiveness of a project, the good of the community in which it is found, the benefit of the stakeholders, and the evolution of the global design community.
aReturnOnDesign.com will be open to all and will serve as a platform for debate and discussion about architecture and design in a new economic reality. It will feature several interactive discussion pages that will evolve over time, including:
* Rate the Return – proposed designs for new developments and photos of newly opened buildings are up for discussion as community members weigh in on whether the design will support the project in achieving its goals
* Return on Design Hall of Fame – the best of the best are highlighted here for their contribution to architecture and their return to the community, client, and design world; nominations will be considered on a regular basis
* Return on Design Architect Matcher – this fun quiz helps clients figure out what kind of architect will help them achieve their business goals
The website, sponsored by BLT Architects, will also feature a blog, industry poll questions and a Twitter feed with regularly updated news and opinions on architecture, design and real estate development.
The lighting industry would benefit from a site like this!
