California Energy Commission Offers 3% Loans for Energy Efficiency Projects

moneyUp to $24 million in loan funds from the California Energy Commission are available at a new low 3% interest rate for energy cost saving projects on a first-come, first-served basis. (The new rate applies to loans made on or after July 9, 2009, and ends when a new notice is issued; it cannot be retroactively applied to existing loans).

Cities, counties, special districts, public schools, colleges and universities, public care institutions and public hospitals are eligible to apply (but not non-profit entities; it’s suggested to contact them to verify whether your organization qualifies.)
