At Lightfair last week, Acuity Brands Lighting, Inc. (parent company of Lithonia, Peerless Lighting, Hydrel and other well known lighting brands) announced the introduction of a new architectural outdoor brand: TERSEN. The international launch of TERSEN is scheduled for June.
TERSEN will provide the architectural outdoor lighting marketplace with a collection of artistic outdoor luminaires and accessories that “coordinate day-form appearance with nighttime performance,” according to Acuity. It will produce modern luminaires for area, site/pedestrian, pathway, wall mount and accent categories that “exude consistent aesthetics, while producing superior optical results. While focusing on purposeful design, TERSEN will create outdoor lighting systems that embody distinctively modern, yet eclectic looks,” according to the company.
“Launching TERSEN gives Acuity Brands Lighting the ability to focus on the unique form and performance requirements of the architectural outdoor marketplace,” said Vernon J. Nagel, Chairman, President and CEO of Acuity Brands.
